Two

The brownstone was old, the steps leading up to the door worn but well-kept. Cassandra had passed it at least a half-dozen times over the past week, each time feeling like she was on some secret mission, or maybe stalking an ex-boyfriend’s house. The feeling was weird, because Cassandra had never had to stalk or chase anyone.

She’d passed it too many times already. But not today.

KNOCK KNOCK.

The door opened and Victor Ramsay appeared. He stood in a pair of loose-fitting pants and a plain white T-shirt. He held a coffee mug in one hand.

Cassandra swept past him without waiting to be invited in.

“Alright,” she said simply. “I’ll bite. Why not your type?”

Victor raised an eyebrow. His expression was one of pure amusement.

“Well good morning to you, too.”

“Out with it,” Cassandra ordered, sweeping aside the pleasantries. “I need to know.”

Victor stood his ground and said absolutely nothing. The silence wasn’t something Cassandra had expected. She decided to go with a different approach.

“You said you thought I was pretty,” she offered. “Right?”

“Very.”

“And so you kissed me?”

Victor took a sip of his coffee and nodded.

Cassandra moved closer, stepping into his personal space. She wore a very tight half-shirt and a pair of shredded blue jeans. The outfit accented her firm breasts, her thin waist. It also exposed her stomach, which was flat and sexy from long painful hours at the gym.

“You liked kissing me, didn’t you?” she breathed.

“Sure.”

Cassandra leaned in. Her face was very close to his now. She gazed upward, making sure to lock eyes with him.

“I liked it too,” she whispered. “That kiss was all I could think about for a few days afterward. I don’t even mind admitting it.” She shrugged and touched his chest with an outstretched finger. “It was good. Very good.”

Cassandra took Victor’s hand in her own. It was strong but smooth. Well-manicured. She could tell he took care of himself.

“In fact,” Cassandra continued, “that kiss did more than just get me excited.”

She stood on her toes. Her lips were almost brushing against his own.

“It actually got me really, really wet.”

She took his hand. Pressed the open palm against her smooth, warm belly.

“Right…”

Cassandra pushed his hand lower, almost between her legs.

“… about…”

She tucked his fingers beneath the waist of her jeans. Pushed downward until his fingertips brushed her panties.

“…here.”

She kissed him. Victor didn’t resist. He kissed her back, sending the same electric shocks rocketing through her body that Cassandra had felt before. It was ecstasy, kissing this man. But it was also a loss of control. That made her nervous.

This time it was she that stopped the kiss.

“You like me too,” Cassandra said. “That much is obvious.”

“Really?” Victor asked. He still hadn’t let go of her hand. “How can you be so sure?”

Pushing forward, Cassandra brushed the back of her hand against the front of his crotch. There was bulge there now, as she suspected there would be. She grinned.

“A girl just knows these things.”

Cassandra pushed past him and walked straight into the kitchen. It was bright and clean, filled with splashes of color and high-end stainless steel appliances.
